Reviewing Quotes
Understand what the online quote page shows and how to read it
Reviewing Quotes
When a supplier sends you a quote, you receive a secure link to an online quote page.
What the quote page usually shows
The page can include:
- supplier branding and contact details
- quote number and version
- validity date
- line items
- subtotal, tax, and total
- notes or terms
- PDF download
- a visual preview of the configured product
Quote status
You may see a status such as:
- sent
- viewed
- accepted
- rejected
- expired
If a quote is expired, the acceptance buttons are no longer available.
What to check before you act
Review these items carefully:
- overall dimensions
- line item descriptions
- tax and total
- validity date
- notes or commercial terms
If something looks wrong, contact the supplier before accepting or rejecting the quote.
PDF and online view
The online page is useful for quick review. The PDF is useful when you need to:
- forward the quote internally
- store it in your own project records
- print or annotate it outside WinFactor
What the quote page does not do
The quote page is not a redesign tool. If you want changes to layout, size, finishes, or options, contact the supplier instead of accepting the current quote.
