FAQ and Troubleshooting
Answers to common customer and organization-user questions
For customers
I cannot enter my size. Why?
The measurement is usually either outside the supplier's allowed range or not in a valid format yet.
Why can I not drag the separator any further?
One of the neighboring sections has likely reached its minimum or maximum allowed size.
What if the quote looks wrong?
Do not accept it yet. Contact the supplier and ask for clarification or a revised quote.
What if the quote has expired?
Expired quotes can still be visible, but they normally cannot be accepted. Contact the supplier to request an update.
The configurator says "Final pricing is being confirmed…". What does that mean?
The supplier connects their own pricing systems for confirmed prices. Within a few seconds the price either updates to a supplier-confirmed figure or falls back to the standard estimate with a note. You can keep configuring either way — nothing is blocked.
How do I enter imperial measurements?
Type plain inches (36), decimals (36.5), fractions (36 1/2), or feet-and-inches (3' 6"). Fractions snap to standard increments down to sixteenths. See Measuring and dimensions.
For organization users
Customers are not seeing pricing. What should I check?
Verify that pricing rules exist for the template and that the relevant options, materials, or components actually match those rules.
My layout will not resize the way I expect. Why?
Check component constraints and whether a section is using fixed sizing instead of percentage sizing.
The quote PDF is still generating. Is that normal?
Yes. PDF generation can take time. Save the quote and wait for the PDF to become ready before assuming it failed.
My public page looks incomplete. What should I check?
Review profile content, hero content, services, gallery, and whether the page was tested as a visitor instead of as an internal user.
We are getting leads but follow-up feels messy. What should we do?
Assign clear internal ownership and connect ActivePieces so public-page leads and quote events also reach email, chat, or your CRM. The notifications settings control which events email your team directly.
I edited a sent quote. Why does the customer still see the old one?
Editing a sent quote creates a new draft version — you need to send it again for the customer's link to show the update. The previous version stays in the quote history.
Why is a feature locked with an upgrade prompt?
It belongs to a higher plan. Plans and feature availability lists exactly what unlocks where.
Can WinFactor talk to our CRM or ERP?
Yes — three ways, by increasing depth: ActivePieces flows (no code), direct webhooks, and the developer API for two-way sync and even live pricing from your own systems (Pro and up).
For automations
I turned on a workflow but nothing happened.
Start with a simple event like submission.created, send it to one destination, and confirm the workflow receives the payload before adding more branches.
Which event is the best first test?
submission.created is usually the easiest place to start because it is clear, frequent, and operationally useful.
