Using the Configurator
Walk through the customer configuration flow step by step
The configurator guides you through the product setup in a fixed order. Earlier steps control what is possible later on.
Step 1: Dimensions
Enter the opening width and height first. This sets the overall size the rest of the layout must fit into.
Use Measuring and Dimensions if you need help with size entry.
Step 2: Layout
The layout step lets you drag the separators between sections to change proportions.
Important points:
- you are adjusting the balance between sections, not the total size
- separators stop moving when a section reaches its allowed minimum or maximum size
- the default layout is the supplier's starting point
Step 3: Sections
Some templates show a sections step. At the moment, this step can be limited depending on how the supplier has configured the product.
If you see a message that section options are not available yet, continue to the next step.
Step 4: Finishes
This step usually covers inside and outside colors or other finish choices.
Inside and outside refer to the product faces, not to separate products. Availability depends on what the supplier has configured.
Step 5: Options
This step contains selectable upgrades and feature choices such as:
- profile system
- glass type
- security level
- hardware
- accessories
Some option groups are single-choice. Others allow multiple selections.
Step 6: Review
The review step summarizes:
- template
- dimensions
- layout
- finishes
- options
- price breakdown, if pricing is enabled
If you see an estimated or indicative price, treat it as a live estimate rather than a signed commercial offer — see the price display for how estimates and supplier-confirmed prices differ.
Step 7: Submit
The final step collects your contact details so the supplier can respond.
You will need to enter:
- quantity — how many units of this configuration you need
- name (required)
- email (required)
- phone number (required)
- notes (optional) — anything the supplier should know: site conditions, deadlines, special requests
The price display
If the supplier has pricing enabled, an estimated price appears in the top-right corner and updates as you configure. Click it for the full price breakdown — every line item with quantities and a subtotal.
Some suppliers connect their own pricing systems for live, confirmed prices. When that is active you may briefly see a note like "Final pricing is being confirmed with [supplier]'s systems…" — within a few seconds the price either updates to the supplier-confirmed figure ("Pricing confirmed by [supplier]") or falls back to the standard estimate with a note that final pricing follows with your quote. Either way, you can keep configuring; nothing is blocked while pricing is confirmed.
Treat any estimate as indicative — the formal offer is the quote the supplier sends after your submission.
Language and units
The flag button in the header switches the page language (English, German, Dutch). Dimensions display in the supplier's unit system — millimeters or feet-and-inches — and the dimension inputs accept the matching formats, including imperial fractions.
How the preview works
The preview shows the current layout as you work. Use it to confirm that:
- the proportions look right
- the opening type matches what you expect
- you are resizing the correct section
Current limitations to know
- the configurator is not a full CAD tool
- some templates have placeholder or minimal section behavior
- your configuration is not guaranteed to autosave if you leave the page before submitting
