Onboarding and First Setup
Complete the onboarding flow and prepare your first usable catalog
Onboarding and First Setup
WinFactor onboarding collects the inputs needed to build your starting catalog and workspace defaults.
What onboarding covers
The flow usually asks about:
- company details
- product types
- profile materials
- profile systems
- glass types
- security choices
- colors and finishes
- hardware and accessories
- door-specific options when relevant
Terms that often cause confusion
Profile system
A profile system is the frame or sash system you manufacture with, often tied to a supplier or product family.
HR++
HR++ is a common high-insulation glass label in the Dutch market. If you operate in other regions, treat it as a market-specific glass option rather than universal terminology.
RC1 / RC2 / WK1 / WK2
These are security classifications used in different markets. Choose the options that reflect the standards your business actually sells.
Threshold
Door threshold types usually describe the step height and accessibility level.
Quick Setup vs detailed setup
Quick Setup is useful when you want to get into the product quickly and refine later.
Use detailed setup when:
- your catalog has strong regional differences
- your glass and hardware ranges matter commercially
- you need the public-facing product language to be correct from day one
What to do immediately after onboarding
After onboarding, do not share links immediately without checking:
- generated templates
- template dimensions
- layout defaults
- pricing setup
- public page profile
